Prime Day 2020 Craft Supplies Haul!
Okay so it’s not a thrift haul, but I need to talk about my new craft supplies! I wasn’t even going to do any shopping on Amazon Prime Day this year, but my sister made a comment about it and then I got to browsing and it was a slippery slope…
I only bought a few things, but I just had to share them here since this is where I gush about crafting! Aren’t new supplies exciting? It seems like most crafters feel that way. New supplies signify the potential for fun new opportunities for creativity.
The thing I am most excited about is the ring light. It was super cheap, but wow! There is so much bang for your buck in this unit. I love it. It makes me feel so pro even though I have no idea what I’m doing with it, ha! I have a lot to learn about lighting and photography, but I see it being super useful not only in lighting my projects as I create them, but also in documenting them. It came with a tripod and has an arm in the middle for holding your phone. I can adjust the brightness and temperature of the light too.
The next things were two packs of washi tape, one printed and one solid, 30 rolls each. I had only maybe seven or so rolls before, but now I have a whole rainbow! And the patterned kit has so many themes – I can’t wait to use them.
Lastly, I got this pack of 24 acrylic paints. I only had “craft” acrylic paints before. I didn’t realize the paints people use on canvas are also “acrylic.” I had never given it much thought. Turns out, there’s a lot more to it and the differences come down to pigmentation and filler. I won’t get into specifics since I only just discovered this myself, but here’s a link explaining in more detail if you are curious. I bought this set because I wanted to have a large variety of colors on hand for projects as needed.
I said lastly because this big box of paint is actually for my mom. She loves painting things for her yard and this box of 20 outdoor acrylics holds a lot of potential. I look forward to seeing what she does with it!
Anyway thanks for listening to me rave <3. If you are excited about a new craft supply, please share below!
